This Global Regents Prep course will provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the Regents examination, covering historical events from 1492 (Columbus) to present-day world issues.
Course Objectives
● Analyze using the 4 Corner Method: Develop critical thinking and analytical skills through collaborative discussions.
● Excel in Reading Comprehension for Multiple Choice: Improve skills to tackle multiple-choice questions effectively.
● Score High on DBQ: Learn strategies for Document-Based Questions (DBQs) and how to incorporate evidence effectively.
● Understand Enduring Issues: Identify and write about enduring issues to achieve a score of at least 4 out of 5 on essays by following our methods.
Course Content Overview
● Historical Timeline: Exploration of key events from 1492 to the present day.
● Document-Based Questions (DBQ): Skills development for analyzing historical documents.
● Enduring Issue Essays: Instruction on identifying and writing about enduring issues in history.
Class Schedule
Each class lasts for one hour.
There is a maximum of 6-8 students in each class.
